will a Auto XT6 Tranny. work in a auto loyal? if not what auto tranny could i use to complete the 5Lug Conversion ? Only if it had a 4EAT auto in it to start with....if it had a 3 speed it would not have the control unit and wiring for th e4EAT that is in the XT6. It will bolt up....but won't work without the wiring and TCU

Anything is possiable.... But don't think anyone here has done it, so you will be on your own as to figureing it out...
Most people would just swap it to a 5 speed, to avoid the wiring issues... Or leave the 3 speed auto in it..

I dont know why anyone would even want to swap another AT personally..granted the 4eat is a MUCH better tranny then the 3EAT..but ATs just plain old SUCK! 5 spd swap is the only way to go...just my opinion...but then again I am the Anti-AT person.

yeah but the hassle of putting in the clutch pedal ect... It seriously isn't a big deal. It takes around 15 - 20 minutes to take one out ( to change out the entire pedal box) . Basically steering column ( I took out the instrument cluster ) 5 or 6 nuts for the pedal box and a couple of cable disconnections and the brake booster arm. Oh yes - and drill a new hole in the firewall. I also took out the drivers seat for ease of access - but that is 4 x 12mm bolts as I remember - like 5 min. I changed an auto to manual in around 4 hrs - and I'm not a fast mechanic who knew what they were doing. I did however have a plan and knew the extra parts required for the conversion . Also had tool, ramps and equipment on standby, but I had more problems getting the console out than throwing in the new pedal box, as someone had threaded the screw heads. ps: the new flywheel was also hard to do by myself.

I haven't ever had to pull the cluster to get to the pedal box. If you are good at manuevering your hands you can get it out just by removing the lower dash panel and maybe moving the ecu out of the way.

AH ... Yes ... but you aint an old fart I just pulled everything to give me good access - doesn't take long. Sometimes its harder leaving everything in and working around it. my moto ... yank it, fix it, replace it and finish it - as easily as I can.

Such as myself Although battlescars do add a little character.
